Unit Title: Peace and Conflicts Studies
SSC602 introduces teacher trainees to study the types of conflicts and the strands of peace-building in the context of development process. Topics such as conflicts, conflict management, prevention, resolution, transformation, peace-building, peacemaking and reconciliation are focus of this unit. The contents are explored using relevant theories, world perspectives and case studies analysis of regional, national bodies and the community in their roles in executing peace operations, interventions and establishing peace in a nation.
