Unit Title: Indoor Sports 1
This UNIT introduces student teachers to Indoor Games 1 and will focus mainly on the strands Gymnastics, Dance and the game of Handball. The unit aims to equip student teachers with the knowledge, understanding and skills of the above sport and games that would prepare them to deliver quality physical education in schools in the Solomon Islands.
Student teachers will be encouraged to learn and practically participate in organised practical activities and workshops in the respective games. It is anticipated that students will utilise the knowledge and skills acquired and plan and deliver lessons which, provide students with appropriate, safe, meaningful and are interesting.
