Unit Title: Introduction to Ecology and Ecosystem
An introduction to ecology focuses on land, water, plant, man-made ecosystems and different types of ecosystems services in the Solomon Islands. The importance, distribution, abundance, and interrelationships of organisms are taught, as well as feeding relationship within an ecosystem, composition, major threats and the way energy and matter flow within the earth’s system.
