Unit Title: Animal Biology
This unit takes a general look approach at the animal kingdom beginning with animal evolution and leading into the various animal groups and their forms and functions and ending with body processes. It aims to provide an insight into how animals carry out functions important for life. This unit is for students who have a keen interest in animals and would like to develop a greater understanding of animal forms and functions. It can also be a stepping stone for those who wish to pursue further studies in the field of animal Biology. The students at the end of the programme are expected to understand different groups in the animal kingdom, their key features, functions and body mechanisms.
