Today, Solomon Islands National University (SINU) hosted a significant symposium, allowing one of the Prime Ministerial candidates for the 12th parliament to articulate his leadership visions and policies.

SINU extended invitations to two candidates, Matthew Wale representing the Coalition for Accountability Reform and Empowerment (CARE), and Jeremiah Manele representing the Coalition for National Unity and Transformation (CNUT), to present their visions and policies for the nation’s future.

Unfortunately, SINU audiences were denied a chance to hear from the CNUT PM candidate Mr. Manele on the occasion due to his unavailability.

A letter issued by Our Party today stated that Mr Manele will be unable to attend the symposium due to the demand of the election period, particularly with regard to security and logistical preparations which require his full attention.

On the other hand, CARE PM candidate MP for Aoke Langa Langa Hon.Wale showed up and took full advantage of the event by clearly sharing his visions and policies should he win the PM seat in tomorrowโ€™s election.

The event offers a unique platform to hear directly from potential leaders about their visions and policies that will shape the future of the country moving forward.

The audience included members of the public who were eager not to miss out on the event.

Mr.Wale thanked SINU for inviting him to the historical event permitting him to share his leadership vision with the SINU audience.

Speaking at the event, the SINU Vice Chancellor Professor Transform Aqorau thanked the CARE party wing leader for his positive response and for sharing his leadership objectives and goals.

With that, the SINU VC said Mr Manele will be offered a chance at a later time to speak to the SINU audience.

The event was hosted under the theme, โ€œForging a Prosperous Future: Policy, Leadership, and Vision in the Solomon Islands.โ€
