Unit Title:Β Building Construction
This is a unit which offers the opportunity for teacher trainees in TVET to acquired knowledge and skills in Building Construction. Building Construction or Construction have been around for some years and is one of our growing industry. The shift from traditional home building to modern type and applications of renewable materials to eco-friendly home designs bring benefits in preserving our environments. The basic knowledge and skills in Building Construction that teacher trainees will acquire will enable teachers to deliver basic learning to students in secondary schools. Furthermore, the specific attention is placed on learning that integrates building architectural, quantity survey, tradecraft, technology, good practice and effective teaching methodology. There is also a shift in emphasis to the management of learning as the emerging education practice (typical in a Bachelor in Learning Management program). Thus, this unit offers a wide range of integrated learning experience in building construction.
