Unit Title: Directed Research in Social Sciences
SSC703 is a social science directed research unit, which aimed is to develop teacher trainee research knowledge and skills, capacity and confidence to carryout simple research for capacity building, improving classroom practice, planning and to make quality decision at school level. The covers the core components of the research cycle and process; such as identifying a problem, developing a research proposal, developing research designs, reviewing literatures (secondary resources), implementing field work, analyzing, interpreting data, and presentation of research findings. Students will be given an opportunity to select research topics from the previous social science unit content topics covered in Year 1 (SSC501, SSC502), Year 2 (SSC601, SSC602 & SSC603), Year 3 (SSC 701 & SSC702) and or any approved social sciences related topics and or issues of interest.
