Unit Title: Directed Research and Counseling
HES703 is a Health and Counseling Directed Research Unit and covers the core components of the research cycle and research processes that involves, research proposal development, research designs, literature reviewing (secondary resources), fieldwork implementation, data management ,analysis and interpretation, research findings write up (research project report) and research findings presentation(class research seminar). The unit also engages student researchers to study theories and perspectives to establish framework and guidance on their individual research topics. Finally, HES703 main focus is to develop teacher critical, analytical thinking and problem solving skills in the area of research in order to improve teacher classroom practices and planning, to making quality and effective decisions and for school stake-holders capacity and intellectual development at school level.
