Unit Title: Agriculture Cooperatives
This unit is designed to give students the knowledge and skills they need in order to form and manage agricultural cooperatives. It covers the following instructional areas; understanding cooperatives, participation and training, Communication, organizational development, cooperative management, planning and organizing cooperative activities, participatory appraisal, monitoring and evaluation and accounting. It covers areas of primary agricultural cooperatives and how they can be of help to poor farmers who are not as profitable alone in the market.
